Scotland, day 1: Glasgow to Tarbet

Before the trip to Scotland, we stayed with friends in Opole, Poland, for a few days – only 100 km and an hour-long drive to Wroclaw airport. We arrived at Glasgow GLA on (delayed) Ryanair flight, collected our rental car from Enterprise and were ready to hit the road around 4 pm. Martyna who traveled with us in Scotland, arrived in Glasgow the day earlier and met us at the airport. We started by driving on local roads around the airport to M8 and A82 North, to avoid traffic and to get used to driving new car on the left side of the road. We were in Balloch in an hour and walked around the castle and gardens for a while. We then visited Luss (village and church) and stopped at Firkin Point to look at Loch Lomond. We arrived at Innischonain House (recommended) in Tarbet around 8 pm, just in time for dinner at Slanj Bar & Restaurant. It was a good day, despite the delay and rather slow driving.
